Pens\u00e1bamos que a Snow se le har\u00eda muy pesado, pero fue durmiendo casi todo el camino y relajado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El tren nos dej\u00f3 a las 15:30 en la estaci\u00f3n de Waverly y nos fuimos caminando al hotel que estaba a unos 10 minutos a pie, en todo el centro de la ciudad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nos fuimos a pasear y a investigar un poco la zona y fuimos descubriendo sin saberlo algunas atracciones tur\u00edsticas importantes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Royal Mile<\/strong><\/span>: se trata del coraz\u00f3n hist\u00f3rico de Edimburgo y conecta dos de los puntos m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1ticos de la ciudad: el Castillo de Edimburgo y el Palacio de Holyroodhouse. Caminar por esta calle es como retroceder en el tiempo: adoquines, edificios medievales, callejones misteriosos (los famosos \u201ccloses\u201d) y una energ\u00eda vibrante que mezcla historia con modernidad.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Estatua de Bobby<\/strong><\/span>: es una de las m\u00e1s tiernas de Escocia. Bobby fue un skye terrier que, tras la muerte de su due\u00f1o en 1858, pas\u00f3 14 a\u00f1os cuidando su tumba en el cementerio de Greyfriars. La ciudad lo ador\u00f3 tanto que le construyeron una estatua justo fuera del cementerio.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Grassmarket<\/strong><\/span>: este rinc\u00f3n encantador es una plaza antigua que en su d\u00eda fue mercado&#8230; y tambi\u00e9n lugar de ejecuciones (s\u00ed, Edimburgo tiene un pasado bastante oscuro). Hoy, Grassmarket est\u00e1 llena de vida, con pubs tradicionales, tiendecitas locales, murales preciosos y vistas espectaculares del castillo desde abajo.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>New Town<\/strong><\/span>: aunque su nombre diga lo contrario, New Town data del siglo XVIII y es Patrimonio de la Humanidad junto con Old Town. Lo que nos encant\u00f3 de la ciudad es que los perros pueden entrar gratis a cualquier medio de transporte, incluidos los autobuses, cosa que en Espa\u00f1a parece una utop\u00eda todav\u00eda.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Royal Yatch Britannia<\/span>: <\/strong>Ubicado en el puerto de Leith, en Edimburgo, este antiguo yate real permite descubrir un pedacito de la historia brit\u00e1nica. Aunque los perros no pueden acceder al interior, el paseo por el muelle y las terrazas cercanas son perfectos para disfrutar con tu peludo mientras contemplas las vistas al mar.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Holyrood Park<\/strong><\/span>: este enorme parque natural, a un paso del centro, es como un trozo de las Highlands plantado en plena ciudad. Colinas, lagos y senderos que parecen sacados de una postal te invitan a desconectar del bullicio. Ideal para ir con perro, por eso lo incluimos en la lista.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Arthur&#8217;s Seat:<\/strong><\/span> dentro de estem parque se encuentra este antiguo volc\u00e1n, que con sus 251 metros de altura es el mejor mirador de la ciudad. La subida es accesible para la mayor\u00eda y las vistas desde la cima son espectaculares, especialmente al atardecer. Es uno de esos lugares que te hacen sentir que has encontrado el alma de Edimburgo.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Catedral de St Giles<\/span>:<\/strong> al terminar el paseo en autobus nos fuimos a visitar la catedral, ya que estaba al lado de nuestro hotel<strong>.<\/strong> Es una joya de la arquitectura g\u00f3tica y un icono religioso de Escocia. Su interior es una mezcla de vidrieras coloridas, b\u00f3vedas impresionantes y peque\u00f1os detalles que cuentan siglos de historia.
