And when travelling with a pet, things get even more complicated, as not all hotels allow pets, or they do, but with many limits. That is why we are going to tell you what we think are the requirements that a hotel must have to be really pet friendly.<\/p>\n

    1. Pets allowed without weight limit<\/strong><\/span>This seems to us to be the most important one, because in most hotels there is ALWAYS<\/strong><\/span> a weight limit. I understand that if it is a hotel where the rooms are very small, you can't put an 80 kg dog in there because it might not fit, but if you are going to set a limit, make it flexible. That's why we think that a limit of maybe 30-40 kg in small hotels would be fine. Although there will always be someone who disagrees (and we understand that).<\/p>\n

    2. Price per night<\/strong><\/span>: another essential feature. There are many hotels that charge very high supplements per night just for bringing your pet. Obviously, we understand that you have to pay a supplement for cleaning, but the reality is that you have to clean your room thoroughly whether you have dogs in the room or not. We are going to show you hotel chains that charge up to \u20ac40 a day extra, which is crazy if you plan to travel for a week or more. So keep this in mind, especially if you don't have as much money as we do \ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n

    3. Pet policy:<\/b><\/span> This is something we pay a lot of attention to when booking a hotel or not, and it is precisely the hotel's policy regarding animals: whether they can be left alone in the room or not, whether you have to leave a deposit or not, whether they lend you a bed for your pet, etc. We have seen hotels where as a rule you have to leave a deposit of at least \u20ac200. I understand that this is in case they break something, but what they are showing you is that they don't trust you, and they are not giving you a chance to prove that your dog knows how to behave.<\/p>\n

    4. Reviews<\/strong><\/span>: we usually look at hotel reviews and comments, especially in the questions section, where many of them are related to pets. If a hotel has a bad reputation, suspect that it may not be the best for your furry friends.<\/p>\n
