BELGIUM WITH A DOG

BELGIUM WITH A DOG: THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE

Belgium was an unknown destination for all 3 of us, as none of us had been there before. It is the third country Snow has visited and we are looking forward to showing you around, so it will always be very special for us. We were also lucky enough to be able to visit the country at Christmas time, a beautiful time when any city scores points.

We would have liked to stay more days, but we had to adapt to the holidays. In this guide you will find ALL you need to know about Belgium: things to see, our recommendations, our best tips about how to move around the country with your dog, what are the best pet friendly hotels in the country, how much a trip to Belgium with your dog costs and do a trip like ours.

We've put all our love into making this guide, so if you like it or find it useful, we'd be delighted if you'd let us know by sending us a message on Instagram.

  • Brussels: the capital of the country and the city we chose to sleep in. You can also change and sleep each night in a different city, but we don't recommend it when travelling with a dog, it's very stressful. Brussels has a lot to see, so if you can spare 2–3 days it would be ideal. We liked Brussels very much, and we wanted to see more, we found it a comfortable city.
  • Antwerp: it is a city north of Brussels, very industrialised and where a large part of the Belgian population lives. It is a great place to spend a day and has its own charm, as well as the central square, which is incredible.
  • Ghent: our favourite city of the four. It's a lot like Edinburgh, it's magical and the impression we got was that it was very pet friendly.
  • Bruges: the city most awaited by ALL the tourists. . It's beautiful, but it's overcrowded all year round. In fact, my Belgian students told me to get out of Bruges because it's all for tourists. But we wanted to see it, so we took the train and went to see it.

We still have a few things to do, so we'll be back, we don't know when, but we'll be back. As we always tell you, we are two very modest people, with modest jobs, who can't afford a lot of travel, so if you like the idea and the project we are working on, remember that you can help us by sending Snow a virtual treat , or booking any of the following activities using our affiliate links: excursions, flights, luggage storage, travel insurance, change money online, etc.
